“Painting is the architecture of stillness.”
The Hand Behind the Canvas
For Phượng, art has no boundaries. It flows from the marks made on canvas — through oil, watercolour, and charcoal — into the spaces we inhabit and the quiet moments of everyday life. Painting is her primary language: a way of recording a feeling before it fades.
She begins with observation — a cast of light, the geometry of a familiar room, a moment held just before it shifts. Each work is built through patient revision, the materials chosen for how they will live on a wall for years.
